Central Iowa Soccer League

Central Iowa Soccer League, or CISL (pronounced "sizzle") is dedicated to helping the youth of central Iowa to play and enjoy soccer. The soccer clubs of Ames, Gilbert, Nevada, Ballard/Slater, Colo, Madrid, Zearing, Boone,  and Collins-Maxwell are working together to provide fun, evenly balanced games via our regularly scheduled league matches, as well as sharing resources for coaching, coaching clinics, as well as refereee clinics.

Spring 09 Season

Contact your local club about registration for Spring teams. More information will go up here as we get closer to the Spring season. Please anticipate that games will run approximately April 4 to May 30. (Some clubs may opt out of one date or another.) The Kohl's American Cup tournament will be held in Ames on the weekend of June 6-7

Winter Playing Opportunities

The Ames Soccer Club will host an 8-week session from mid January through early March at the indoor turf at the Bergstrom Indoor Practice Facility on the ISU campus. Sign up by December 15. More information is available at the Ames Soccer Club web site.

Field Status:

On game days with bad weather, we will post field status here.

Please note that we are not perfect, and it is possible fields will be closed after you get there even if it says "no report" on this site. However, we will report all closings we can.

"No Report" = Fields Are Open (if weather ok) or Club Not Reporting.
"Closed" = Fields are closed due to bad weather.
"Open" = Fields are confirmed Open on bad weather days.
